PhD in Linguistics (Terminology). Lecturer since 1995, she has focused her teaching activity on Computer Assisted Translation and Localization. She has supervised several placements and Master projects and theses. She has also been internal and external examiner of several Bachelor and Master Theses.
Researcher in CEOS.PP (Polytechnic of Porto) and in CLUNL (UNL).
She has taken part in several national and international projects and meetings and was invited lecturer at several partner universities in Belgium, Finland, France, Poland, Brazil, Spain, Mozambique, Croatia, Lithuania, among other countries.
Member of the editorial review board of "Current Trends in Translation Teaching and Learning", a Translation Journal edited by Mike Garant and Larry Walker and published by the University of Helsinki Department of Translation Studies.
Editor-in-Chief of Polissema - Revista de Letras do ISCAP, an international peer-reviewed, open-access journal.
President of APCOMTEC - Portuguese Association for Technical Communication.
